Maybe they are planning to mass disfellowship all of these who have received "higher education"!
LOL
there was a letter sent to elders in australia on 18th november 2015 asking for details of publishers that are solicitors, barristers and accountants.
what would be their motive for these details?
the rest of the letter outlines 8 specific pieces of information to compile and send to bethel's legal department, and reiterates to collect the information only be "as you understand, without consulting the publisher.
Maybe they are planning to mass disfellowship all of these who have received "higher education"!

according to this jw video... now is the time to preach without fear!
now that the final days are here!.
the final days were not here previously (as they kept insisting for over 140 years)... but now they are!.
this is my first post but i've been lurking for some time.
ive just spoken to a friend of mine from my jw days who isnt aware that i no longer associate.
hes the coordinator of the body of elders in his congregation so i suppose he does know something of whats going on at the wt.
I agree with Listener. Sounds like they're getting ready to $ell what's left in Brooklyn.
NY congregations are tired of you Bethelites and carrying your ass.
While the bethelites didn't contribute much financially to the local NYC area and Jersey congregations, they brought a fair amount of youth and "spirituality" and husbands for the local girls. I wonder how many congregations have had to merge or will merge in the future as the bethelites, including lots of elders and MSs, evacuate NYC.
is it possible this aspect of the meeting was cancelled so that jws would not be categorized as a "school" where in many areas elders and ministerial servants would have to submit to a background check by secular authorities?
I got a text that it is being said that the reason they did that was because of new rules requiring background checks of teachers in religious settings?
Anyone else hear this or can verify?
No time to verify! This rumor needs repeating! And JWs love their urban legends, so ramp it up!
"I heard from one of the ex-bethelites whose friend sits at a table with a GB member who said that they needed to get rid of the word "school" or the government would come through and flush out all the child molesters from the congregations. In order to protect the secrecy of these abusers, WT has dropped the word "school"."
through this forum of wonderful freaks, i have met someone who is coming with me to my hearing.
initially i was slated for next year, but will be attending in two weeks time.
all is in place from travel vouchers, support, where to go ............very efficient and well done.
In order to go D2D, publishers should pass background checks and attend classes that instruct them why they need to be aware of this abuse problem in the congregations, including excerpts from the RC proceedings. As was demonstrated by those elders at the RC, JWs will try to ignore and "not have time" to give attention to this necessary subject. WT wants all the sheeple to ignore this danger--this has got to stop.
Since the preaching arrangements have enabled abusers, no children should be going out preaching D2D. If they are otherwise going out on studies or RVs, they should be accompanied by a parent at all times.
Since several, even Jackson, basically said that it was the government's fault for not requiring mandatory reporting, it should be mandatory. With serious punishment for any coverups.
Since so much information was brought out about the injustices of judicial proceedings, I wish that WT would be required to do any such judicial hearings biblically--either in public or with numerous people to witness the proceedings and provide moral support to those involved. Their current method of an abusive star chamber of idiots that can't remember who said what when is a stellar example of injustice, a mess that seems to be modeled after the injustices of Jesus' trial and execution.
**overlapping donations**.
yes.. that's a thing.
not new, of course.i just felt like shouting it from the housetop.. ( don't forget the worldwide work, friends... ).
My overlapping donations to WT are invisibly present.
I'm gonna call that a thing, too
ever notice how most jws use the titles "brother" and "sister"?
in my experience, 99% of the time it was not a term of endearment.
it was actually a term of formality very much like "mister", "mrs.", "miss" or "ms.".
It was actually a term of formality very much like "Mister", "Mrs.", "Miss" or "Ms."
Especially since "brother" or "sister" was followed by the person's last name. It was awkward to use in a congregation with a dozen "Sister Jones". Neither endearing nor practical. It sounds very institutional. Calling on someone from the platform you'd get, "Sister Jones, Mary." I assume they didn't use "Sister Margret" or "Brother David", because it sounds too Catholicy.
In my family, if my sister was named "Elizabeth Jones," I wouldn't call her either "Sister Jones" or "Sister Elizabeth". Of course, I'd call her "Lizard Breath". For aunts and uncles, it would be their first names prefaced with "Aunt" or "Uncle". For grandparents, it was a grab bag.
i think it was punkofnice who came up with the phrase, "apathy carts".
how apropos.. yesterday i encountered a car group of witnesses in my community as i was coming home from the gym.
actually, their van was blocking me from entering my driveway.
Why didn't they come back to my door after they knew I was home.
Evidently, they returned invisibly.
elder: plese watch the november programm on jw broadcasting.. me: what i hope for is the change of the doctrine that states that jesus is not the mediator between jehovah and all jw's but only between jehovah and the 144000. i believe jesus is my mediator even if i am not one of the 144000. .
elder: may jehovah open your mind and heart.
me: may he open everyone's mind and heart.
Elder: Please watch the November program on jw broadcasting.
Me: Please watch Pastor Gas on YouTubemy parents are visiting for not-thanksgiving.
dad started bringing up spiritual stuff and i almost screwed up my fade.. it's so hard to have a genuine discussion about the issues in the organization when you have become an atheist.
it feels icky and disgusting to have to pretend and nod your head at such platitudes as "you just need to have faith"..."trust in jehovah"..."jehovah will correct it"..."remember ray franz?
dad said Tony was a loose cannon and that if he doesn't straighten up, Jehovah will deal with him. He brought up Ray Franz as an example
Tony will continue to be a loose cannon and will never straighten up. That gives you a win-win situation:
